The homestretch
Pickup is getting closer and closer, next friday is the actual date. My mustang, who still doesnt have a name, arrived in Ohio last monday after a long trip from Nevada. Originally we planned on picking up Saturday the 12th, but the mustang heritage foundation has required that all mustangs being picked up in Ohio be picked up on friday. That doesnt bother me because I am so excited to start, but we have so much work to do, its a bit of a downer! The roundpen isnt even set up yet! But anyways, we will get it done.

26 Days!
Twenty Six days until pickup and there is still a massive amount of work to do! I getting pretty excited though! I still havent come up with a name though, which is a bit of a bummer, because Bullseye's name came so easily. Rule is though, it has to be out of a disney movie.
I've researched where my mustang is from and the mustang herd population of North Hills, Utah is very small. He's a rare one! I also researched the gathers from that area and my best guess is that he was gathered as a 3 going on 4 year old. That means he would have been gelded at a old age to be gelding, which is another bummer, because chances are he is going to have the stallion agression. None the less, I can't wait to meet him and see whats in store for me this summer!

Sold!...to bidder 589
Today was a very exciting day! The Supreme Auction took place in Ft Worth with 200 adults and 100 yearling mustangs being auctioned off. Prices ranged from 200 to 8,000$ for virtually untouched mustangs! My first bid was on lot 109 and sadly I lost him. However I did pick up lot 133, my second choice, for a great deal! I admit it was unnerving to be bidding and I got pretty anxious after my first one went over my limit. At least I got 133! Well next stop is Ohio on May 12th to pick up my newest horse!

The Countdown has Begun!
Actually... the countdown started a couple of months ago for me and a few other mustang lovers. Nonetheless, now the day is within reach. This Saturday is the auction! After viewing all of the videos of the mustangs (http://www.superiorlivestock.com/onlineVideoCatalog/?contractId=743) 80000 billion times, I have narrowed down my top two choices, but in all honesty, I'm really hoping for my my number one. In the end though,I know I'll be happy with any mustang, pool horses and all. :)
